School Building Project

SK ST. FRANCIS REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT

SK St. Francis, Melaka plans to redevelop the school premises to overcome overcrowding and provide better academic and educational facilities for students and teachers. The cost of the building construction and equipping the new block is estimated at RM3.2 million.

Through the generosity of The Community Chest, the school is receiving RM2.0 million funding for the full cost of a new block of four-storey building which will be named The Community Chest Academic Block.

To help raise the remaining RM1.2 million required for furnishing, utilities and maintenance, the SK St Francis School Board of Managers, Parents Teachers Association (PIBG) and the group of Old Students’ Alumni consisting of St Francis’ Association (SFA), Franciscan Club Kuala Lumpur (FCKL) and SFI Class of 1977 (C77) have collaborated to raise funds through a Charity Dinner and Concert 2015. The event will be held on 15 September, 2015 at the Equatorial Hotel, Melaka.

Besides this Charity Dinner and Concert 2015, other fundraising events such as the Charity Carnival has been organized by the PIBG, and future donation drives will be planned by Franciscans to raise more funds for the project.
